Last of Five “Take-Over” Robbery Suspects Captured
John V. Gillies, Special Agent in Charge of the FBI in St. Louis, has announced the arrest of suspected bank robber Cortez Adams.
Adams, 25, was captured without incident early this morning in a residence in St. Louis. An investigation by the FBI, US Marshals, and the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department led to his arrest.
Adams is one of three brothers in a group of five people who allegedly took over multiple St. Louis area banks using weapons. The crimes happened during this past April and May.
All five people are in custody and have been charged locally and federally.
