Area Man Indicted on Federal Bank
Robbery Charges
St. Louis, Missouri: Michael Hudspeth
was indicted on charges involving the robberies of
three
St. Louis
area banks, United States Attorney Catherine L. Hanaway
announced today.
The indictment alleges that Hudspeth attempted to
rob the U.S. Bank on Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters,
on December 13, 2007. Hudspeth also is charged with
the robberies of the Bank of America on Parker Road,
Florissant, on December 19, 2007; and the robbery of
the Reliance Bank on Olive Boulevard, Creve Coeur,
on December 29, 2007.
MICHAEL HUDSPETH, St. Louis, Missouri, was indicted
by a federal grand jury on one felony count of attempted
bank robbery and two felony counts of bank robbery.
If convicted, each count carries a maximum penalty
of twenty years in prison and/or fines up to $250,000.
Hanaway commended the work performed on the case by
the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the St. Peters,
Creve Coeur and St. Louis County Police Departments,
and Assistant United States Attorney Reginald Harris,
who is handling the case for the U.S. Attorney's Office.
The charges set forth in an indictment are merely
accusations, and each defendant is presumed innocent
until and unless proven guilty.
